This tour will take you to Coimbra, a world heritage site, where old streets, beautiful typical Portuguese houses and a student life environment coexist.

 Start the tour from Lisbon heading north through the main highway, enjoying views of the main industries and productions of Portugal on the way.

 On arrival to Coimbra, beside the Historic Center, there are nearby a lot of interesting points to visit, such as Santa Cruz Monastery and one of the most famous and iconic places, the University of Coimbra, the oldest of Portugal, dated the 13th Century and one of the oldest in the world still operative.

 After Coimbra, head norther to Aveiro known as the “Portuguese Venice”, the charming city is crossed by a canal and is considered one of the most charming destinations in the country, thanks to its colorful moliceiros and buildings. Take a boat tour on the Moliceiros, the traditional agile boats that were once used to collect and transport the algae that was abundunt on the region and used as fertilizer, one of the past main industries of the region.

 Before heading home, while in town, choose from one of the traditional cafés as you stroll through the city and taste the divine ovos moles, which are the district’s specialty.
